what’s even better is that its not that difficult to make at your home. here is one of our favourite recipes of the classic homemade eggnog.

what you need

6 large eggs, separate

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 pinch salt

½ teaspoon grated nutmed

1 cup bourbon whisky

1 cup heavy cream

2 cups whole milk

time to make it

step 1- gather all the ingredients and start by beating the egg yolks. then, slowly mix ¼ cup of sugar until it dissolves.

step 2- once the sugar dissolves, add the vanilla extract, nutmeg and salt. keep mixing it till it reaches a thick consistency. it will take a light-yellow colour once it reaches the right consistency.

step 3- pour the whisky slowly into the mix as you beat it and then add milk and heavy cream.

step 4- finally, cover it and store it in the refrigerator for at least one hour.

hot buttered rum

now this just says everything in its name. hot, butter and rum. the drink resonates warmth and comfort for your cold winter evenings. so, lets see how to make this comfy cocktail for our weekend.

what you need

2 teaspoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon softened unsalted butter

2 ounces dark rum

1 dash nutmeg

1 dash cinnamon

4 ounces hot water

cinnamon sticks for garnishing

time to make it

step 1- gather the ingredients and start by taking a coffee glass. place the sugar, vanilla extract, butter and all spices into the bottom of the mug.

step 2- mix all the ingredients well and pour in the rum

step 3- pour the hot water on the mix and stir it well. garnish with a cinnamon stick

as much as it is fun to watch our favourite childhood duo chasing each other, it is even more fun to watch it as adults while drinking the classic tom and jerry on a chilly winter evening. here’s the recipe for making one for yourself

what you need

tom and jerry batter

12 large eggs, separated

1 cup sugar

4 ounces softened unsalted butter

1 teaspoon cream of tartar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon nutmeg

2 ounces dark rum

2 teaspoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

tom and jerry drink

1 to tablespoons tom and jerry batter

1 ounce brandy

4 to 6 ounces hot milk or water (whichever way you like)

grated nutmeg for garnishing

time to make the batter

step 1- gather the ingredients and start by separating the eggs in two bowls. once separated, add the cream of tartar to the egg whites and whip with a mixer till you have stiff peaks.

step 2- add the softened butter and sugar to the egg yolks and whip it till its mixed well.

step 3- now, gently fold the liquid egg yolk mixture into the egg white mixture. after that, you can stir in all the spices with the vanilla extract and the rum.

step 4- lastly, cover and refrigerate it till its time to make your cocktail.

time to make the drink

step 1- gather the ingredients and start by pre-heating the mugs that you will use to serve your drink.

step 2- after that, add 2 tablespoons of the batter and mic with 1 ounce of dark rum and 1 ounce of cognac to each mug.

step 3- pour it with hot milk or hot water and stir till the drink is foamy.

2 cups apple cider

2 cups frozen cranberries

1 cup spiced syrup

1 bottle chilled sparkling grape juice

2 cans sparkling orange juice

1 medium apple, sliced

1 medium orange sliced

step 1- gather the ingredients and start by combining the apple cider with the spiced syrup in a large pitcher. stir well

step 2- once mixed well, add half of the frozen cranberries and all of the fruit slices into the pitcher.

step 3- cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 4 hours till the flavours seep into the cocktail

step 4- while serving. add the sweetened apple cider to the grape and orange juices. keep stirring for the magic to happen.
