Whether you're a morning person or a night owl, starting the day signifies a fresh start and a new day to conquer the world. It’s a new page for you to open up and paint your colours on. But just like any artist, it’s important to prepare, to gather your materials before you move on to creating your masterpiece.

The 3 steps you need to follow to have a fruitful and productive day.

1- Mindfulness

We’ve become so attached to our social media and our gadgets that invariably they’re the first things we look at. This is a habit everyone needs to break. Waking up and reading a barrage of news that isn't always positive or looking at people's fancy holidays and accomplishments is not healthy. It fosters negative feelings and the need to compare your life. Try not to look at your phone as soon as you wake up. Be with your thoughts, freshen up, and then open up the outside world.

2- Fuel

Before every road trip, we fill up our vehicle with fuel, exactly like that, before taking on a long day. It's imperative to drink a glass of warm water and to have a good breakfast. The warm water cleanses out the toxins collected from the period of inactivity and the breakfast recharges your body.

3- Attitude

We’re only as good as our attitude. If you wake up in the morning and set the intention to have a productive day, then that’s the kind of day you will have. A simple trick to kickstart this positive mindset is to smile for 10-20 seconds in the morning. When you smile, your facial muscles send signals to your brain which release happy hormones like dopamine and serotonin.

Morning Routine

To live aastey is to create moments of peace or happiness. Starting your day with these three steps is a step in that direction. It’s you taking control of your life, your happiness, and your productivity.
